Yesterday, the House heard HB 72 to fund retirement for our State Troopers in the Highway Patrol.
Good news: the bill passed 80-20.
Bad news: 20 (1/5 of Montana’s elected Representatives) didn’t stand with the Troopers.
The vote detail is below the video. You can and should use this link to thank every last Representative–D and R–who voted “yes.”
And you should pay close attention to those on this list that voted “no.” Do you think they have ever touted their support for law enforcement on the campaign trail? What does empty campaign rhetoric mean if you won’t put a vote behind the words?
