April 17 – Tax Day is here. It’s the day we pool our resources as citizens to buy the things that create a civilized society.
Things like schools, libraries, parks, clean air and water, fire protection, bridges & roads, and infinitely more.
MEA-MFT’s coalition, the Partnership for Montana’s Future (the same folks we worked with to put on the big rallies in 2011) has been drawing attention to the good things our tax dollars buy for us.
The Partnership’s tax gnome has been appearing in front of libraries, police stations, fire departments, and elsewhere with a sign saying “Thank Taxes.” You can follow the gnome at the Partnership’s Facebook page.
Also, take a look at the Partnership’s new video — and please share it far and wide!
