The Montana Federation of Public Employees’ (MFPE) political action committee announced today that it has endorsed Raph Graybill for Attorney General.
The endorsement of Raph Graybill was made following candidate interviews conducted by MFPE member-leaders. The interviews focused on where the candidates stand on important issues facing MFPE’s diverse membership, which includes teachers, law enforcement, and health care professionals working in public institutions across all levels of Montana government.
“We first met Raph Graybill when we visited with him about the constitutional issues the privatization of public education provokes,” said MFPE President Eric Feaver. “From that point forward, Graybill has impressed us with his commitment to the plain meaning of Montana’s brilliant 1972 constitution. He is determined to defend our constitution against all those who would twist it to their special, self-serving, unconstitutional interests.
Graybill believes, as we believe, that public institutions exist for the common good and should be carefully nurtured, not cavalierly tossed aside. The minute he steps into office, Raph Graybill will be Montana’s lawyer for all the people, and a brilliant one to boot.”
MFPE is Montana’s largest and most professionally diverse union, representing 23,000 members living and working in every Montana community.
