The Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) seeks to hire a part-time Organizing and Data intern, based in Helena, Montana to be employed for twelve weeks between October, 2022 and March, 2023. This challenging entry-level position will work closely with MFPE’s Director of Organizing on direct union organizing, local union engagement, member engagement, and data collection and management.
MFPE is Montana’s largest union, representing and advocating for members working in public employment, including school district, university system, state, county, and city employees across Montana.
Successful applicant must commit to 20 hours a week to work on organizing programs, member engagement, and data management. Internship experience includes hands-on trainings, readings, peer learning, and other professional growth programming.
This is an entry-level position paying $19 per hour. Successful applicants should have a desire to learn about union organizing, organizing campaigns, member engagement, and organizational data/customer management. Successful applicants should be self-motivated, able to work independently, highly organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy.
