MFPE Position Announcement: Project Staff Data and Dues Coordinator

The Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) seeks to hire a Project Staff Data and Dues Coordinator. The purpose of this position is to assist MFPE in maintaining member and local affiliate data and the development and maintenance of data and dues systems for MFPE and its local affiliates.  Position is temporary, with a one-year term, and will be based in Helena, MT.  Successful applicant should have skills in data entry, utilization of spreadsheets and data software, and the ability to work as part of a team. 

Starting compensation of $22 an hour with a full-time, 40-hour work week.   Benefits include employee health Insurance; participation in voluntary retirement saving plan; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.  MFPE is a statewide union representing thousands of members employed in all aspects of public service and education.

The Project Staff Data and Dues Coordinator will perform the following duties:

1)    Working with other MFPE and NEA staff, maintain membership records system and update membership records as changes occur.

2)    Assist in collection and data entry of member rosters, employee lists, salary amounts, dues, pay schedules and other organizational data and information as assigned. 

3)   Prepare reports for governance, management, and staff as directed.

4)   Participate and assist in design and implementation of MFPE data processes and procedures.

5)   Provide instruction and training to local officers and other MFPE staff on use of membership, data, dues systems and procedures. 

6)    Assist with electronic and physical storage of MFPE files.

7)    Routine correspondence and communication. 

8)   Other duties as assigned.
