As COVID-19 spreads throughout Montana, MFPE member Sam Harrington is preparing for increased needs for assistance. Sam, a Client Service Coordinator with the Office of Public Assistance, said that she anticipates that “as layoffs and closures become more prevalent in our communities, we will also see an increase in individuals and families seeking not only food and medical assistance though SNAP and Medicaid, but that we may also see an uptick in emergency assistance requests.” This work is essentially for getting Montana families the help they need and the tools to recover, both in terms of health and financial well-being.
